Are architecture services included in my new build?
Architecture services are indeed included in your new build project with Walters. We offer two rounds of complimentary architectural drawings, which include elevations, floor plans and 3D renderings of your new home. Our goal is to collaborate with you throughout the architectural design process, ensuring that your experience meets your expectations.
What location do you build in?
We primarily build along the coast of Ocean County, focusing primarily on the areas from Long Beach Island to Lavallette.
How long is the process of building my new home?
The process of building your new home with Walters typically spans approximately 12-14 months, from the day you sign the contract to move-in day. The first three months are dedicated to essential engineering tasks, including surveying and developing a plot plan. Once the engineering and construction documents are ready, we secure the required building permits. This phase typically takes anywhere from 30 to 120 days, depending on local regulations and permitting processes. With the building permits in hand, we enter the exciting phase of constructing your new home based on the design and plans. This phase typically spans 6 to 8 months, during which our skilled team will work to bring your dream home to life.
How much does it cost to build?

Does Walters offer financing?
Walters does not offer direct financing for our new homes builds. However, we have established partnerships with a selection of preferred finance lenders. We’re more than happy to guide you towards these trusted lenders who specialize in financing construction. If you already have a preferred lender in mind, we’re also flexible and willing to work with them to facilitate the financing process for your project. Our goal is to assist you in finding the financing solution that best suits your needs and preferences.
I own a property, can you help with demolition?
If you own a property and require demolition services, Walters can assist you with this phase of your project. We offer the option to manage the demolition process for you, ensuring that it’s carried out efficiently and in accordance with your project’s needs.
I don’t have property – do you have any?
If you don’t currently own property, Walters has options for you. We typically have several move-in ready homes and we’ve also partnered with Keller Williams, a trusted real estate agency. This partnership allows us to direct you to experienced professionals who can assist you in finding the ideal property for your project. You’ll find their office conveniently located right downstairs in our Ship Bottom location, ensuring a seamless transition to the property search process.
